I am the mother of a teenage son and daughter on the west side of Los Angeles. My background includes social work as well as patient advocacy. I was drawn to postpartum doula work because I believe all families deserve support and care after the birth of a child. This is a time of great transition and families should feel entitled to assurance, advice, care taking, and understanding. In 2019, I trained with DONA. In 2023, I became a New Parent Educator. I am a member of both Doulas of North America and Doula Association of Southern California.
I am a member of Doula of North America (2019) and Doula Association of Southern California board member (2020) and a New Parent Educator (2023). I trained with DONA in 2019 and with CAPPA in 2023. What drew me to doula work is that I wanted to help those, like myself, who were unfamiliar and felt unsure of how to take care of a baby. My two boys are now teenagers leaving me more time to cook, bake and garden. I have experience with twins and preemies. I have taken infant CPR, chest-feeding, and cloth diapering trainings.
